He's really alluding to some of the benefits of socialism because that's where he is at this time. If you're visiting a country to build bridges, you don't match in and say "We're right and you are a bunch of cunts". Things work because of a mix of right and left, either, in the extreme, ARE the same. "1984" demonstrates this perfectly. People whine about the "evil" of socialism, then whinge about the sloth and privilege enjoyed by the obscenely wealthy individuals that capitalism creates! Where do you think the much vaunted "elite" comes from? |
