I don't even know what to say about this anymore. Think about it. This child is "fasting" for a political figure to win an election? And the adults around him are encouraging this?

Well its MUCH worse than that! We teach them about evil things like Shampoo and Conditioner, how to eat healthy, how to drive a car, how to use their time effectively, how to become an Eagle Scout, how to cook and clean, how to sew a button on our shirt, how to ride a bike.

VERY young children are encouraged to memorize these 13 Articles of Faith. Simple truth that reveals respect for all faiths and even government.

Yes, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints kids are taught their religion. As an LDS parent I also believe you teach them correct principals and then you let them govern themselves.

No. Fasting should only be performed by adults who understand why they are doing it. I even have friends who have hypoglycemia who can't fast and no one looks down on them. Plus, in the New Testament doesn't it state not to tell anyone of your fasting as its to be seen of God and not of man as the hypocrits do? ;)

I have a real problem with kids worshipping politicians to a point of fasting for their victory.

I belittled Beck when he first called for "fasting for Ted" as in my humble Jewish opinion fasting should be reserved for asking for forgiveness of sins and transgressions, mourning, and pledging true obedience to G-d. I disagree with fasting for favors as I felt that was what Beck was fasting for.

trump was establishment by his own admission for 68+ years....then all of a sudden claims he isnt. Also, shouldn't you fast privately? Didn't Jesus specifically point out that when you fast, it isn't done publically announcing the act to everyone but it is done privately between man and god? Correct?

I can't believe I used to like him too...not a big fan, but an occasional listener until teddy bears and soccer balls. It wasn't until just recently that I discovered the T. Cruz went to the border with Beck to encourage illegal immigration.

It occurs to me that if you have good policy no politician would have to pander to any group and we could all just be Americans...
