TRUE DOOM!!! Coeur d'Alene Pastor shot in Back at Altar Church Kyle Odom in custody! Every angle explored ..too much coincidence ..

Today, just before 2:00 p.m. Coeur d’Alene Police responded to the parking lot of the Altar Church for the report of a shooting that had just occurred. In the parking lot of the Altar Church, at the intersection of Ninth and Best, police located a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police have not confirmed the victim’s identity, but witnesses at the scene say it was Pastor Tim Remington, the church’s leader. Remington gave the invocation at presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s rally at the county fairgrounds yesterday here in Coeur d’Alene.
Police report the victim was transported to Kootenai Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries. The victim’s condition is not known at this time.
The suspect in the shooting fled prior to police arrival and has not been located. Police Detectives are on scene and this is an active investigation.

A family member says the man who was shot is Tim Remington and he is a pastor at the church. He also prayed at the Ted Cruz rally on Saturday at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. His nephew Matthew said he was shot four times while walking to his car. He said he is alive and was talking to EMS workers on his way to the hospital.

Police said the suspect fled the scene before they got there and has not been located.

No it is near Downtown.. the Res is way down South between Plummer and Moscow..

They don't know if it is Politically motivated.. may be a disgruntled drug addict. I read that Pastor Tim was a very kind Godly man that worked with former Addicts.. btw if you see someone matching the description anywhere around the Altar Church, at the intersection of Ninth and Best, you too can be a hero.. be careful.. maybe armed and dangerous!

Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White said the shooting was captured on the church’s surveillance cameras. A white male in a silver vehicle was waiting for Remington in the church parking lot and shot him in the back as Remington got into his car, White said. The shooter then fled in the silver vehicle.

Police know of no motive for the shooting, White said.

Remington is director of Good Samaritan Rehabilitation, which provides faith-based drug and alcohol treatment. He also spent many years counseling inmates at the Kootenai County Jail, according to previous stories.

On Saturday he prayed with Sen. Ted Cruz and a crowd of thousands at a Cruz campaign stop in Coeur d’Alene

Remington’s wife Cindy and his four children are at the hospital with him, Padula said.

In 1985 they began taking people into their home to help them. That has since grown into their Mentor Home Ministry and Good Samaritan Rehabilitation. The street ministry days, from San Bernardino to L.A., taught Tim more about drugs and alcohol than all the education he ever had. Since that time he received his degree in counseling. To Tim however, the degree is much less meaningful than actually leading an addict to Jesus.

Thank you! Many are at prayer vigils tonight and the recent word is that he is in stable condition! No motive or official description is available yet.. I am sure the huge Family of Pastor Tim will be doing everything they can to find out who and why this individual shot him so heartlessly!

The gunman fled and remains at large.
An associate pastor at the church told KHQ that the gunman was described as a little more than 6 feet tall, with short curly blond hair, a slim build and glasses.

Remington was rushed to Kootenai Health and is listed in critical condition.

He was shot in the lung, head, hip and shoulder, according to John Padula, outreach pastor at the church, who has been in contact with Remington’s family.

“One of the bullets tried to enter the brain but stopped at the skull, one of the bullets busted his hip, one fractured his shoulder pretty bad, but he is and will continue to be alive and serving God!” Crigger said.

Doctors and emergency room workers were calling it a miracle, he continued, “but by God’s standards, it’s another chance to show and appreciate the powerful hand of God!”

Surprised by this also... very low crime area. All of Idaho is really. I was just driving up to St Marie ID around that time. Lots of silver cars on the road!
I also noticed cameras (I look up a lot) everywhere out in "nature".

I feel the same way.. it is pretty lily white around here.. you know why right? Hayden Idaho was the one time home of Richard Butler.. ring any bells.. don't want to shut down my own thread but the Christian community has tried very hard to disavow any connection to his "Christian Identity" theology. But it really is a stain on this area.. not Mormon btw.. Cameras recorded everything about this shooting of Pastor Tim.. but reading between the lines..they will wait until the vigils are over and everyone has gone back to school and work to report what really happened. I just hope they will identify the shooter when he gets to feeling better.. and I am positive the media outside of Spokane will not cover it at all.

Late Sunday night, Coeur d'Alene police said they were looking for Kyle Andrew Odom, 30, of Coeur d'Alene as their suspect. Investigators say they were working to obtain a warrant for Odom's arrest.

They believe Odom shot Remington and then left in a 2004 Silver Honda Accord with Idaho plate K578519."

Suspect was a Marine and has a degree in biotechnology.
