Everyone should climb a remote mountain at least once. There's a reason men in the Bible went away and climbed mountains to get closer to God. No feeling like it. Everything else just melts away.

On the frustrated bee . . .

"Here's some info on your flower.

The plant is a night-bloom cereus (sir re sus) cactus. This is the common name of large number of ceroid cactus that bloom at night. The are usually white or light colored.

The bee is frustrated she can find a landing field. The guard projections prevent it from landing, and she can't hover and feed at the same time.

Cersus evolved to be pollinated by moths with a long tongue. The moths just hover and extend their tongue between those guards down to the nectar.

A sphinx moth (nearly the size of a hummingbird) should have no problem at all. I've seen them feeding at ginger flowers just about dusk.
