Quoting: Useless Cookie Eater Google some Pike Eels.....they look nothing like that head or the size of that body. That has a croc/alligator type head. NEW SPECIES. :headnod12: You're being thrown off by the scale. The camera is very very close to the surface, the animal is quite small. |

And although it may not be monstrous in scale, it does look to be at least 5-10 feet long. - The Spider Kid |

I figure it probably tapers off at the end and it doesn't appear to be doing that as far as we can see. Leads me to suspect that's about 1/2 - 2/3 of its body length. - The Spider Kid |

The photo angle is making it look larger than it is. Pay attention the grain size of the sand and the "baby waves" for scale. My guess.... 3 to 4 feet long. Some of the tail is still in the water hidden. All that said....I still think it's a new species. |

Overfishing leading to migrations? I think things are coming up from the deep....idk why, but for anyone who dives the ocean is just vast and when you wall dive....whoa...the depths are just incredible. Reminds me of the movie steve zissou a life aquatic...spotted something or other.... |
