Re: Sunbinds of Illuminati Kingship
I don't know if any of you have caught it but there's a fascinating show on hulu called "The Path"

It's about a cult which follows "the eye of light".
It's a Hulu original. I went into it skeptical for that reason but I came away extremely impressed.

The characters are quite complex and their relationship to the cult is ambiguous. It doesn't proselytize the cult nor demonize it. It raises some extremely interesting questions about the place of spirituality in our culture and does so with a sort of spiritual group that deviates in almost every significant way from Christianity and yet somehow manages to be similar in certain significant ways.

This show left me thinking - like, it is one of those shows that I just randomly find myself pondering because it's not only interesting but the way it's done everything is so symbolic.

I do highly recommend it, if anybody has Hulu.

The thing that makes shows like that so compelling isn't just the symbolism, it's how "purposeful" it seems to have been made. I haven't seen the show in question, but art or media like that makes you want to know the people behind it.

These carefully constructed themes and characters indicate that someone or some group along the "assembly line" has an awareness we aren't used to seeing in media meant for mass consumption.

Indeed.

I don't know what it is about this show - but something about the way that they choose to portray certain things in a subtle way really impressed me. A lot of characters say things which have a few different layers of meaning or foreshadow the plot in sort of an interesting way.

The progression of the show I think is interesting, so many shows sort of try to shock and appall you every episode or from the beginning but this show gradually sets the stage for what we find out later and the intensity builds in degrees, but right from the beginning it has you sort of raising an eyebrow like what is going on here.

Psychologically I think it is pretty fascinating. The creator apparently did her homework when writing it. I kept expecting rehashes of worn-out cult tropes but they are avoided.

The eye of light thing is weird. It seems overtly a reference to the illuminati. But the show doesn't focus on the occult, it focuses on the human. It also forces the viewer to ask themselves regardless of what they personally believe spiritually/religiously whether one can have faith in something they know is a lie, or be happy within a faith that they may not believe.

Somebody out there knows how much I'm looking forward to the new Alice in Wonderland because I got a flyer for a pre-screening at the arclight on the 26th and they are going to have a whole alice in wonderland exhibit there as well, lol.

Pretty cool.

Dunno if anybody has seen the P!nk music video which is in association with the new AiW movie as well. Check out 0:23

We have an upside down pink spinning between an arch and two pillars. It's quite obvious there...checkered floors.

Little girl playing with a blue monarch butterfly, the same butterfly that was in the trailer for the new Alice in Wonderland. It leads her to a mirror which the little girl walks through into wonderland. Pink follows her and we are in wonderland where there is a chessboard.

I avoided "Compton" like the plague till I was at my friends house and they wanted to watch it, I was pleasantly surprised!

I still don't like how many people suddenly became gangster after a few viewings.. But that's not the movies fault lol.

Us real gangsters shouldn't be bothered.

That looks interesting. This came up about the eye of light pertaining to eye of ra. I think it said somewhere that enlightenment is filling both eyes with light. One eye being mortal and two eyes being immortal. But who knows, lol

The roc had its origins, according to Rudolph Wittkower, in the fight between the Indian solar bird Garuda[3] and the chthonic serpent Nāga. The mytheme of Garuda carrying off an elephant that was battling a crocodile appears in two Sanskrit epics, the Mahabharata (I.1353) and the Ramayana (III.39).

The scientific culture of the 19th century introduced some "scientific" rationalizations for the myth's origins, by suggesting that the origin of the myth of the roc may lie in embellishments of the often-witnessed power of the eagle that could carry away a newborn lamb.

The rukh is also identified in the Ethiopian holy book Kebra Negast as the agent responsible for delivering the blessed piece of wood to King Solomon which enabled the great king to complete the Temple. This piece of wood also is said to have transformed the Queen of Sheba's foot from that of a goat to that of a human. The piece of wood that the rukh brought was therefore given an honored place in the Temple and decorated with silver rings. According to tradition, these silver rings were given to Judas Iscariot as payment for betraying Jesus; the piece of wood became Jesus's cross.

Roc
although supposedly both the Arabic and Persian words can be translated as castle, fortress or siege tower, but also chariot, as per in ancient times siege towers where often equipped with wheels.

What Is Energy Psychology?

Energy psychology (EP) is a collection of mind-body approaches for understanding and improving human functioning. EP focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, sensations, and behaviors, and known bioenergy systems (such as meridians and the biofield). These systems and processes exist, and interact, within individuals and between people. They are also influenced by cultural and environmental factors.

Re: Sunbinds of Illuminati Kingship
Maladaptive daydreaming should be considered a mental health disorder, Eli Somer of the University of Haifa in Israel, who came up with the term, told the Wall Street Journal. In fact, maladaptive daydreamers devote an average of 57 percent of their waking hours to fantasy, Somer and his colleagues reported in a new study in the journal Consciousness and Cognition. On particularly dreamy days, this went up to 69 percent. By comparison, people without the condition spend 16 percent of their time daydreaming.
After surveying 340 self-labeled maladaptive daydreamers recruited from online chat rooms, the scientists found that these people also had more reveries concerning fictional characters and intricate plots than others. They also had high rates of attention deficit and obsessive compulsive symptoms. Nearly all of them felt that their daydreaming interfered with their sleep, chores, relationships or life goals. Many felt as though they had an addiction.
“It stops me from interacting in real world and real people,” one person told the researchers. “I can’t concentrate on studies. I skipped school a lot just to be in my world.”

In all three interventions -- absent minded, emotional and texting -- the researchers found that the drivers' handling of the wheel became jittery with respect to normal driving. This jittery handling resulted in significant lane deviations and unsafe driving only in the case of texting distractions. In the case of absent-minded and emotionally charged distractions, jittery steering resulted in straighter trajectories with respect to a normal drive and safer driving.
