I have no idea what candidate (if any) Paul's people will rally around. I guess he felt like he better keep his voice in the Senate but I think he quit way too soon.

Wasted vote.

If you purists continue to siphon off Republican votes for your 3% Libertarian candidates at the same time the Democrats are adding 4% of their vote by vote fraud, Mexicans, and the Muslim invasion, we will not see 2020, guaranteed.

I think what the others are trying to say is:

Yea, the Fed needs to be audited, but if the system caves in before hand, what
is the point?

Yea, pot should be legalized at the Federal level, but if the system caves in
before hand, what is the point?

The bottom line is that while Rand may be a great candidate, most Americans do
not see him as the right person for the job at this time.

Go ahead and vote as you please.

Just understand that in real terms, you have ZERO impact by backing someone you
KNOW, for sure, will loose. This is akin to not voting at all. It might endear
you to the coffee house crowd for 1-2 seconds, but that is about all.

Most Rand Paul supporters would be enraged to learn that as President, Rand would
be unable to make any of their favorite causes happen.

The Executive Branch can not order the Fed audited. That oversight falls to Congress.
The Executive Branch can not order pot legalized. That is a responsibility of Congress.

The same holds true for every other cause you folks press for.

About the only impact the ever-so-pure Rand Paul would be able to have is to BLOCK
legislation in the form of a veto.

Bummer dude.

Trump says he'll secure the borders, he says he'll undo everything 0bama has done (all the EOs anyway), he said he supports NO GUN CONTROL laws... You make a valid point, but I don't trust trump. He has a LOT of footage of him promoting his liberal views and love for the clinton's. How does one just become republican? Trump would have to comepeletely convince me he is on the right or libertarian. I don't trust his motive and definitely believe he is feeding us lies and entertainment. I could be wrong, but like I said I am not seeing it, or feeling it. If trump can beat Hillary, or Sander's, and trump is nomine, I may vote for him and cross my finger's and say my prayer's for him and our country. We need a lot of repeal's done by the next president and it won't come from the left.
Let's hope the next debate remains' intelligent and gives us an open slate. No one else has inspired me like Rand.

OK, so let's say you vote for the perfect, but unelectable, candidate and the Hildabeest takes the race (I don't even think she'll be the nominee, BTW - just saying). Let's say that Biden or Warren or some other Socialist wins the race. How much closer will you be to a Constitutional Republic than if Trump is elected? Didn't we already make this mistake with Ross Perot? The single-issue attitude is what gave us Clinton (vomit!).
 Quoting: Hugh G. Wreckshun

I hope you see I corrected my post above, to you.

I don't remember the % by which Romney lost, but it probably was not due to write-ins and Gary Johnson voters who couldn't bring themselves to vote for Mitt. Or I could be mistaken.

Nonetheless, we are entitled to our principles. If there are more idiots out there that are willing to vote in Sanders (I agree w you on that prediction) and join the FSA, then it is not the fault of the principled voter - it is the fault of the greedy, ignorant voter who pulled the lever for the communist.
 Quoting: faint

You know me, I have kids, I hate what the D's would do, but that doesn't mean I have to compromise my standards out of peer pressure.

If America is stupid, greedy, and brainwashed enough to vote in a socialist without my one vote, what does tell you about our country?

I don't have a good metaphor, either.

It was a combination of things why Rand gained little traction. Ultimately he ran an awful campaign.

- He repeatedly attacked Trump, therefere appearing as a defender of the establishment in an anti-establishment cycle.
- No one wants his VAT tax.
- Focused his campaign on young people and minorities which made it appear he did not give a damn about anyone else.
- he did not focus on issues the average folks care about. It is the economy stupid.

LOL, seriously, now that Senator Paul has dropped out, my vote goes to Mr. Trump. If Mr. Trump is not the Republican Party nominee, I will once again vote for a third party as I have done many times in the past, beginning in 1988 with a vote for Ron Paul.

I don't know, but it's about time we stop trying to get along with them and start steamrolling them. Ryan, McConnell... how are they ANY different than Pelosi and Reid? They're not. Not IMO, anyway.

This is the only point where Trump has given me pause. He said he can get things done with dems. FUCK THAT! That's what McCain lost on (that and any one of a number of other things). It's what Ryan and McConnell are doing - getting along with dems. However, Comedian straightened me out as to what Trump really means and I can buy it.

Steamroll? Absolutely. The GOP brass are all McCain-style aisle-leaners and it's sickening. What did TC tell you that put you at ease with Trump's working with D's statement? These things are important, if you want to PM me, that's fine too. Thanks for keeping it civil, btw! hf

Yes, Obama. Not you or I. Not how I intended.

Don't get me wrong - I am a Constitutional Originalist as well. But here's the thing.... we have stage 4 cancer right now and there are many things that need to be done. We're not going to get it all done in one election cycle. One operation won't rid us of all the tumors we've got. Trump says he'll secure the borders, he says he'll undo everything 0bama has done (all the EOs anyway), he said he supports NO GUN CONTROL laws... I agree the Fourth Amendment is important - REALLY important - but so is the rest of the Constitution. Do you really want the dems choosing the next three or more SCOTUS Justices????

About the footage of love for the Clintons... Trump exists in a place where PAY-TO-PLAY is the rule of the road. It's a reality. Sometimes too much honesty costs you. Have you noticed the talking heads on TV (Fox anyway) all compliment the hell out of each other? They do it so much that it's sickening. My point is, they may really hate each other's guts behind the scenes, but you'd never know it by what they say in public. That's also a reality.

However, there are some things said and done in public that I just cannot forgive. Bush saying Hispanics are more virile than everyone else is one. Bush supporting Common Core and open borders (invading us is an act of love) is another. The image of Christie and 0bama walking arm-in-arm down the streets of bum-fuck in New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy while Romney was missing in action days before the 2012 election is BURNED into my brain. No amount of brain bleach will erase that image. Rubio following Schumer around the Halls of Congress with dirty knees and dirty lips in the Gang of 8 is another.

There are some things I cannot forgive, but I'm willing to at least give Trump a chance.

Well hell to the giant naw on SCOTUS for sure, but they have to go through congressional approval first, so our efforts should be concentrated there first and foremost. Congress is supposed to be our spokesman; in most situations those elections are more important than who is POTUS.

Comedian should answer in his own words. I am not worthy of repeating his insight and intelligence without fucking it up.

Well, then.... it shouldn't take much for him to unhitch it from his head, gold plate it, mount it on a pedestal and put it behind glass in the Smithsonian. He can even have a little speaker playing "The Way We Were".

Fair enough. The problem is I DO TRUST RUBIO, and Christie, and Bush and most of the rest.... TO FUCK US!
 Quoting: Hugh G. Wreckshun

What makes you think Trump will make a good president? How are you convinced that he is legit? I agree, I don't like or trust any of the remaining candidates. But, a lot of people like trump, and I just don't get it yet, other than he is playing on our emotion's and is a plant by TPTB. But why? It's like Trump was planted to mock us while we cheer on thinking he will lead us to victory? Victory how? By more oppression, greed, and war? No thank you.

About being civil... lol We actually agree on pretty much everything. We have the same concern for the future of this country - and for the same basic reasons. I am an Originalist as it appears to me that you are. Moreover, I can see why Trump might give you pause.

But here's the thing.... the only other candidate I'd consider is Cruz and the highest and best use of Cruz's life would be to spend the next 40 years on the SCOTUS. He'd be much more effective there over that period of time than in the WH for eight years. I want Cruz to replace Darth Bader Ginsberg (may she rot in hell).
