Re: What is for dinner?
We had breaded cod with tartar sauce and potato wedges. Comfort food :)

Enjoy :)

Oh that sounds good! Did you make your own tartars? I scorched a lamb and chase it with an angry goat IPA

Homemade Tartar sauce is the best!

Re: What is for dinner?
FYI - cocktail sauce is simply ketchup & horseradish.

When I eat shrimp I like a very hot, tongue searing cocktail sauce...so I always make my own.

Bumping to see what people are making for dinner tonight! I have a chuck roast that I seared and is being smoked in a stovetop smoker. Probably will have potatoes and green beans with it.

I am using the pressure cooker to make white beans, and lemon & pepper chicken. Probably will have some Brussels sprouts too. We just recently bought a pressure cooker and I am amazed how quick it can cook tasty food!

Is yours an electric one or on the stovetop? I am planning on making ham and split pea soup in mine tomorrow, I have an electric one that I use now but still have my old stovetop one.

I have a stovetop one and it scares me, lol. I'd like to try an electric. Do you have a brand you'd recommend? Thanks!

I was like you at first and was SO AFRAID to try my stovetop one, I had it for years and never touched it. Finally decided one day that I would attempt it and thankfully didn't blow up the kitchen lol My mother ended up getting me an electric pressure cooker as a gift, so I don't use the stovetop one much now. What I have is a Cuisinart and is pretty nice. I'm using it as we speak!

Hubby works nights so I typically go big at lunch time. Today we had country fried steak with white gravy, rolls, sweet creamed corn & steamed asparagus.

Dinner will be these left-overs.

Thanks! I'm going to check around on prices. I don't know if they come in different sizes, but if they do, I'm feeding a family of five. I use a 6qt crockpot - same for the cooker?

Dinner: salad with chicken, feta, sugared pecans, and raspberry vinegrette.

Re: What is for dinner?
I had homemade poutine last night. Tonight and the next few nights will be sweet and sour pork and rice. Then I am making a huge batch of minced pork and stuff to make egg rolls and shredded pork corn tortilla tacos.

I don't cook on days I work, I just reheat. lol

Yes, I feed a family of six 6 (plus at least leftovers for lunch for my husband) with the 6 quart. I just checked, the one I have is priced at $100 on Amazon but you may be able to find it cheaper?

Re: What is for dinner?
Using my pressure cooker again tonight, I had a family pack of chicken thighs frozen that I let sit out to thaw enough so that I can separate. Going to dump some salsa, extra green peppers and onions, lime juice, bit of beer on them and let them cook up for dinner.
