There's no such thing as 'filter' flare. Lenses flare is real- just not on single flat glass elements. I went into depth on this matter and in typical "Doctor" fashion, you replied one word to me . . . "Wrong" with nothing at all to back up my extensive knowledge of optical formulas and Low Dispersion glass with modern coatings.

Has anyone said swamp gas yet?

These threads should die if by the second day the op can't go back and take a pic at the same time / location with the same outcome. Why is this so hard to grasp?

Notice with a magnifying glass if needed, the second sun is behind branches from a tree. Is that possible?

Actually the first sun is behind branches from a tree and therefore so too is its reflection. The sun itself is over-exposed so you can only see the branches in the dimmer reflection.

Listen closely you fools. If an object that big is actually near the sun everyone on the planet would see it everyday and the sun would be much more active. Ever notice these pictures always occur on cloudy days and you never see this on a clear day unless it is filter flare. Even a dark brown dwarf would have started reflecting the suns light once it entered our solar system.

Before you run off and kill your dogs like that shill once told you to do, study a little science and use a lot of common sense before you post useless crap. It is possible we are a binary system with a 25,600 year orbit, but eve then everyone would be seeing it as it neared perihelion with its twin. What the original image is the light of the sun not being dispersed by the ice crystals in the cloud, but acting more like a mirror and reflecting the light of the sun, keeping the image intact.
