Help Needed. Items lost (including pet boa constrictor).
Items Lost on the Other Side

On GLP, we have no shortage of threads about the flat Earth theory. Frankly, though, I must confess that I'm generally an old-school Round Earther.

Nonetheless, while giving a cursory perusal to one of those ubiquitous threads recently, I came across an interesting and presumably speculative theory about the other side of the flat Earth.

In short, GLP superstar Chip posited that that's where our missing stuff goes ... our lost socks, keys, gift cards, dryer lint, loose change, that one chick's phone number, etc.

The following lost items have troubled me for some time now:

* my Bollé sunglasses with the interchangeable color lenses

* my Bose in-ear bluetooth noise-cancelling headphones with the built-in volume control

* my Oakley Silverado Gore-Tex gloves

* my 64gb USB flash drive with my important DIA backup mission documents

* an oversized bag of chronic medicinal that I hid under a sofa cushion at the last Halloween party

* a tray of delicious home-grown tomatoes that I placed back outside after that big asteroid missed this side of the flat Earth back in September

* my 14-foot boa constrictor named Penelope

* my giant Venezuelan tarantula named Goliath

* four extra large cans of premium Bernard dehydrated water that I had stored in my Atlas fallout shelter (but, this bug out kit commodity may have been stolen as the re-enforced door lock was broken too; maybe I should check the local pawn shops for this one)

* a brown paper bag full of fresh cow pies that I had ripening on the sun deck back in August (it was going to be a surprise gift for my next door neighbor who's constantly nagging me about all of my unusual pets)

* my sanity, my virginity, my innocence ... and 23 pounds last summer after an exhausting four-week nature sojourn seven miles from the southern Blue Ridge Parkway (near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park)

So ... now I know where these missing treasures are?

But, how do I get to the other side of the flat Earth to retrieve them?

If you can help with this upcoming dauntless adventure, please let me know?

Thanks, in advance, fellow GLPers.

Wait a sec. Come to think of it ... some neighborhood cats and dogs disappeared too ... shortly after losing track of Penelope. She might still be on this side of the flat Earth.

She's a stealthy hunter that likes to travel at night. She's light brown, patterned with reddish-brown saddles that are more pronounced towards her tail. The last time I saw her, she was 14 feet in length and weighed about 60 pounds.

If you see her, please send me a quick private message with the geolocation. And, if you're interested in helping to search for her, scan local headlines for centrally located missing cats, dogs, ferrets, and pot belly pigs. She had quite a ravenous taste for plump, pot belly pigs.

She will eat birds, rats, and lizards too. But, she really doesn't care for them. Also, she has a particular fondness for Dewars 12.

She can swim, but prefers dry land. And, she loves to hang out in trees. So, check limbs carefully as you trek into the woods.

But ... above all else ... if you do find her, approach with some degree of warranted caution. She's a bit faster than she appears. That's how I lost her in the first place ... and, to my chagrin, that's how I found out how much she loves pot belly pigs. My next door neighbor had one he'd named Willie.

She was usually quite tame (after feeding). But, she's probably very cold and extremely hungry this time of the year.

Also, PM me for the generous reward specifics.

Who knows just how much stuff we've lost to the other side of the flat Earth?

Once we figure out how to get there, maybe a few of us GLPers can organize an exploratory expedition.

Surely, there will be rewards for some of this massive array of missing items. Perhaps, we can find investors too.

If you're interested in joining either the exploratory expedition (5 to 7 days total) or the follow-up visit with a return haul (7 to 14 days total), please PM me.

Also, PM me if you're willing and able to invest in our adventure.

This photo reminds me of Rocky, my oldest pet ostrich.

He and Penelope used to fight a lot. Maybe that's why Penelope left home.

hehe, sorry OP, don't know how to get the things back, but it reminded me of a book I've read once, called

"A place called here" by Cecelia Ahern

Its about the place where missing things go, and one day the girl in the book gets missing too, trying to find her way home

I once read a similar book (don't remember the author) entitled "There's No Place Like Here".

Moreover ... you may actually be onto a dire aspect related to all of the lost items ... lost people.

Approximately 2,300 Americans are reported missing—every day. This includes both children and adults. It does not include Americans who have vanished in other countries, individuals who disappear and are never reported, or the homeless and their children.

Maybe they're falling through to the other side of the flat Earth.

That sounds like a load of bs. It's pretty rare for a boa to get more than 9 or 10 feet.

He also begged me to unplug his life support, so I did.
Then he started mentally panicking, so I plugged it back in. The only problem was I plugged in his powered catheter inserter instead. Boy, I can still hear those psychic screams to this day...
