What do they let this tournament be hosted in Eroupe it has zero support.
Bring it back to.Canada or the US.Sucks watching the games with no crowds. When the tourney is held in North America buildings are packed for all the games

Canada isn't doing much in this tourney come medal round. And even in buildings hosted in north america, every single game isn't packed. Especially early games. I have been to at least 4 world junior tourneys on entire tournament passes.

this tourney set a record with 250,000 tickets. big tourney now in the hockey countries minus the usa audience but was a big success in buffalo a few years ago. since it's an under 20 tourney it;s hockey's version of March Madness, and it;s played over the holidays. usually great games like today's too, we can call it Holiday Hockey Mayhem lol

as the host country Finland won it's front page news there

Re: IIHF World Junior Hockey in Finland
people running thru the streets naked. no doubt drinking too. perfect timing. tomorrow is a national holiday in finland.

HELSINKI—There was no wiping the smile off Kasperi Kapanen’s face — from the moment the Maple Leafs prospect scored the golden goal to give Finland a 4-3 overtime win over Russia in the gold-medal game of the world junior hockey championship, to the in-room celebration where he danced and to the media mixed zone where he rolled through the same answers with dozens of different questioners.

Kapanen — a Leaf prospect because of the off-season trade that sent Phil Kessel to Pittsburgh — had never scored a bigger goal.

“I don’t know how to describe it right now,” Kapanen said. “In shock but really happy at the same time.

“We really deserved that gold medal. We had a really good tournament throughout.”

Outside the Hartwall Arena and through the streets of Helsinki, Finnish hockey fans celebrated the country’s fourth gold medal at this event, and second in three years. Twitter was filled with pictures of naked men running through the streets as the party started.

“I guess we’ll have to go join them,” Kapanen said.
A Finnish teammate tweeted video of Kapanen dancing in the dressing room. “I’m not much of a dancer, but I tried,” he said.
