3.5 quake near Yellowstone just now

That asteroid is causing all of this.

Doesn't Yellowstone have hundreds of quakes every day?

They do have a lot but most are under 2. This would not be worth any attention if it were anywhere else. This is also pretty shallow at only about 4.5km deep.

I just see it as something to take note of at this point.

3.5 ones don't occur much.

Not at or very near Yellowstone they don't.

Yeah, anything over 2 is unusual....

Didn't someone post a thread the other night about a lot of smoke occurring there? Damn, my memory is failing me, sorry. I know a poster was concerned about Yellowstone, thinking something big was about to occur there.

Somebody post the Yellowstone live cam STAT.

Someone posts about "smoke" coming out of Old Faithful a couple times a week, usually. It's never been anything but steam before. I'm kind of a sucker for Yellowstone threads, so I always take the bait. It's never been anything before, but you never know when it's gonna blow. I think it's, like, 50 or 60 thousand years overdue, which is why I keep coming back for more. Resister and others are right. 3.5 is unusual for that area, although I think this is the fourth or fifth time I've heard of one in my eight years here.

Well that's better than nothing.

Get scared when Yellowstone stops moving.
