The fact that people are unaware that it is just a psychological process happening in the brain, is why religion creates so much chaos. |

You were brainwashed to believe this. You were born an atheist and rather than being taught to think for yourself, these myths were rammed down your throat as truths. You could have been born into a muslim household, and you'd be spouting totally different garbage. You could've been brought up Hindu, or Jewish, or Mormon, and be spouting yet other garbage. But it's still all garbage. There's plenty of wonderment out there, plenty to be thankful for, plenty to fulfill your imagination, plenty to satisfy your thirst for knowledge, plenty to do good for, plenty to love for. But it doesn't have to be stooped in unfounded superstition. Think for yourself and don't fall to these archaic ideologies born of ignorance. It's all bullshit. Deep down you know it - anyone with reasonable intelligence should be able to see it - you can't possibly, really believe the fairy tales that religions spout, can you? Wake up man! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61427759 I was not brainwashed into Christianity. I wasn't raised in a Christian home, I spent the first 40 years of my life living in rebellion, and no man led me to Christ when I finally did get right. I wasn't even going to church! This is why when I encourage people about getting into right relationship with God the last thing I do is pressure them to go to church. Going to church doesn't save people, Jesus does. And it's all about walking out a Biblical relationship with Father God by Jesus' work of the cross. |

Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward. You right now worship, you just don't realize it. If you believe in abortion, or evolution, you are "worshipping" those things. |

Here, let me show you God's reasoning about this: When Jesus and His disciples were ministering across the countryside, there were men of the religious establishment who were not yet followers of Jesus, but knew His name had power over the demonic and to bring healing and miracle-working power forth in their ministry. Because of this, they would use Jesus' name as they ministered, even though they did not truly follow Him yet. When the disciples saw someone doing this, they told him to stop. They then told Jesus about what happened. Jesus told them not to stop them because "no one can do a good work" in His name, without eventually becoming a follower of His. Mark 9 38 John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us.” 39 But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, for no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me. 40 For the one who is not against us is for us.
