My mom retired and found out she had Parkinson's Disease. It was in that moment my faith in God..broke completely.

It took several more years of struggling back and forth..but now I have finally freed myself from it. I no longer struggle with the dissonance.

Imagine spending your whole life believing that God destroying the world will give you justification for your belief system and then understand why people are so obsessed with DOOM.

Because they'd rather see the world burn to prove they were right, than try to fix the problems that got us there to begin with.

One giant abuse cycle and self fulfilling prophecy. People like Pat Robertson bilk people out of their money and rational faculties since the 1980s.

No longer having to believe in that end..is like being freed from the cave.

The future al the sudden gets a lot brighter. Imagined enemies disappear because they never existed in the first place.

I'd go back in time and erase my own existence, before I will live in a reality where an ''all loving God' allowed my mom to get Parkinson's disease.

Re: Mad World
There is only one thing bullies concede to and that is a greater force coming up against them that is genuinely threatening.

Once bullies become systematic abusers, they often surround themselves with people who look away from their behavior, so as not to be a victim of it. Or do so to receive some believed perk(money/power) for being near them.

Narcissistic abusers are spoiled fruit.

We as a species know this inherently and have some how allowed this behavior to manifest, instead of cutting it out when it pops up.

Now we all become part of the abuse cycle.

I had to look up Sandra Fluke.

Wow.

Never Forget What Rush Limbaugh Said About Sandra Fluke

Rush Limbaugh has died, and no list of his awful legacy of racism, sexism, and attacks on the poor would be complete without noting he made war on a DC student in 2012. Sandra Fluke was a third-year student at Georgetown Law when Democrats invited her to testify at an unofficial congressional hearing after Republicans, then in the majority, convened an all-male panel to discuss women’s health.

Fluke made a case that religious institutions like Georgetown should provide contraception to students. Limbaugh, an accomplished bully with a huge national audience, recognized Fluke as an ideal target. Getting her first name wrong (he called her “Susan”), Limbaugh said Fluke’s position “essentially says that she must be paid to have sex.” Not content with that calumny, he continued:

It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She’s having so much sex she can’t afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex.

For the next few days, he and his audience reveled in his delightful bons mots, and Limbaugh continued to assail Fluke women at Georgetown, at one point saying “I will buy all of the women at Georgetown University as much aspirin to put between their knees as they want.” He suggested that one way women could repay him for allowing them to use birth control would be to post videos of them having sex “online so we can all watch.”

Just in case the cost of providing condoms/birth control to college students, seems reprehensible.

No insurance? You're looking at around $15,000-$20,000 just to give birth.

The problem isn't abortion the problem is birth, is cost preventative by itself.

Do something about the costs or continue to to watch the birthrate fall.

U.S. Births Dip To 30-Year Low; Fertility Rate Sinks Further Below Replacement Level
The birthrate fell for nearly every group of women of reproductive age in the U.S. in 2017, reflecting a sharp drop that saw the fewest newborns since 1987, according to a new report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

There were 3,853,472 births in the U.S. in 2017 — "down 2 percent from 2016 and the lowest number in 30 years," the CDC said.

One thing I know for sure..only an idiot would allow themselves to get pregnant at this time. Filling the world with more idiots. Workers. It's the perfect plan.

U.S. birth rate falls to its LOWEST in 35 years - and experts predict the 12-year 'baby bust' trend will continue because of COVID-19's impact on the economy

Aside from a one-year uptick in 2014, US births have been falling every year since 2007, when a recession hit the country. The drop continued even after the economy rebounded.

Prior to 2007, the fertility rate had remained consistently below replacement levels since 1971.

COVID baby boom was a bust: Five states report up to 81,000 fewer births since pandemic began and NYU Langone has seen a 33% increase in egg freezing as record number of couples put off having children

Five states, Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii and Ohio, have released preliminary 2020 data for births showing a decline from 2019

In 2019, there were a total of 898,646 births in these states compared to 817,394 babies born in 2020 - meaning there were 81,000 fewer births

The biggest drops in births was seen in California, which saw a 13.7% decrease in births from 2019 to 2020

A recent study found that 31% of women said they wanted to have children later than previously planned due to the 2008 recession

What Is Gambler's fallacy?

The gambler's fallacy, also known as the Monte Carlo fallacy or the fallacy of the maturity of chances, is the erroneous belief that if a particular event occurs more frequently than normal during the past it is less likely to happen in the future (or vice versa), when it has otherwise been established that the probability of such events does not depend on what has happened in the past.

Such events, having the quality of historical independence, are referred to as statistically independent.

The fallacy is commonly associated with gambling, wherein it may be believed for example that the next dice roll is more than usually likely to be six because there have recently been less than the usual number of sixes.

Late capitalism

A character in Thomas Pynchon's novel Bleeding Edge states: "late capitalism is a pyramid racket on a global scale...getting the suckers to believe it's all gonna go on forever."

According to a 2017 article in The Atlantic, the term "late capitalism" is again in vogue to describe modern business culture, although with a semantic change or an ironic twist.

"Late capitalism" has become a catch-all term for various phenomena that express capitalism's distortions of human life, and it is often used in critique and satire.

This usage also conveys a sense that contemporary capitalism cannot go on like it does forever, because the problems created by business are getting too large and unmanageable

Unitary executive theory

In the 2018 biographical film Vice, directed by Adam McKay, the unitary executive theory is explored in some detail and dramatized.

Dick Cheney, the film's subject, his lawyer David Addington, Deputy Assistant US Attorney General in the Office of Legal Counsel John Yoo, and Scalia figure prominently in the theory's development and promotion. They brought it to the foreground of modern discussions on the topic of executive power beginning in 2001, continuing throughout the Bush administration and beyond.

The application of this legal doctrine has implications for the prosecution of the war on terror, the subsequent 2003 invasion of Iraq, the use of enhanced interrogation techniques at sites like Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib, and mass surveillance. These are highlighted in the narrative
