Mad World

I was addicted to TV before I became addicted to the Web. Before I shut off the TV for the last time..it was the first thing I would turn on in the morning..and fall asleep to it at night.

I switched screen addictions, when the Web was getting its legs..and it was a real wonder for the first several years.

It jumped the shark in 2016 and has taken a nosedive in content and civil discourse and has instead become a tool for authoritarian rule.

Which was most likely its intended purpose.




Really, really recommend this video. David Foster Wallace called all this. He was also addicted TV.

He killed himself in 2008.

My parents had orange shag carpet in the dining room in the 80s.
