a fable?

a young tortured woman desperately sought love
she took solace in the protection of an evil lord
that promised her love in exchange for her soul

she gladly accepted the offer
the evil lord gave her music as a siren
she would attract many suitors with her songs
those found lacking were dashed on the rocks

wayfarers came form near and far to listen to her songs
her songs of love, drove men crazy
they came in ships from afar, never to return
the crews crazy from jealousy killed each other as their ships crashed onto the rocks and rolled onto the shore.

furloined to her fate she sought delight in watching the fate of those hearing her siren songs.

if nobody met her desires, all would perish.

as the wind blew, strapped to a mast, ears not plugged,
a wartorn sailor ventured the furlong.
