25ft TSUNAMI OF FOAM invades streets in mysterious phenomenon that panics residents
A HUGE wall of foam, which has been bursting into four foot flames has sparked panic in a busy city in India and left thousands puzzled.

Bellandur Lake, is one of the largest areas of water in Bangalore and now it has been shrouded in an enormous froth of white foam.

Locals even reported it catching fire and flaming as the suds accumulated suddenly broke out into flames as high as four-feet.

An article from October 2015.

Meh.

Indians are so self centered that in India its every man for himself. I don't even understand how they survive.

Some company probably dumped toxic waste into the sewer and it went directly into their water source.

Yeah this isn't a phenomenon .
India is scary careless with anything environmental or pollution related. They dump something in the water and no one is owning up to it. Like another poster said I don't know how they're alive sometimes .

Apparently this is not an isolated incident and is common in polluted regions.

This is the same country that has dead bodies in the street and waterways right? I believe they still drink the water. Haha yeah they're some real winners over there.

India is home to many of the major chemical companies. And they routinely dump their excess into the local environment.

My guess is that they dumped their excess EDTA and it got out of hand.

I've never been to India either, but back when I was in grad school studying int'l ag, several classmates did go. ALL of these students returned violently ill, so I avoided the place.
Also, in the article didn't see any mention of analyzing the foam. As in, fix the problem, as opposed to speculation and vague finger pointing. Hell, I'd move.

They also have dead people floating in the rivers so its probably methane from the decomposing bodies.

there was a thread here not too long ago about the bodies.
