Are there any youtube vids of live performances from the early/mid 90's? I'm stuck using a cell phone for internet access for awhile and I have limited ability to search youtube....

Specific songs, performances, venues?

I posted yesterday the one on Letterman where they started out with "Christmas time is here...." and then went into Unglued.

Yes...regarding Shannon Hoon.
Remember Jimmy Chamberlain from Smashing Pumpkins? He OD'd, but survived.

Hell, he was kicked out of SP like Scott was from STP, but James was able to really clean up.

Axl's cousin, Shannon:

I don't think they were cousins. I could be wrong here but I thought they were just close friends.

I just looked it up, you're right - they're not. I suppose it was an incorrect misnomer I heard back in the 90s and continued to remember it :/

Scott was a phenomenal vocalist, but the grunge Era produced many addicts. We covered STP many a times in the bars back in the day!

Re: Scott Weiland's passing... TRIBUTE
I saw STP in concert back in 2000 (they opened for the Chili Peppers), and I was amazed at how good they sounded and how they were able to so accurately reproduce their sound from the early 90's albums (Core & Purple). It's like damn why couldn't you have kept producing music like this after the first two albums!
 Quoting: WOLF*

Yes! I too saw them opening for the Peppers in 00, can't remember where though, either the arena or tacoma dome.....

Who is he? Is he supposed to be famous?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63875401

have you ever heard of a search engine called google?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69744926

So people can start threads about obscure unknown people and it is up to the reader to reaseach to find out who the person is or even if it is a real person at all?!? Grow up. When you post about an unknown person give a little background and add a link.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63880457

yeah they can as a matter of fact and unless you've been living in a cave the last twenty five years Scott Weiland is hardly 'obscure and unknown'.

you just went through five pages of links to the music and you still sound like a fucking mental midget.

i'll see your 'grow up' and raise you a 'fuck off'

His voice was amazingly soothing, like Chris Cornell's.

Well I was hoping to find some concert performances from back when they were in their prime (early/mid 90's). I can't filter my youtube searches and was getting mostly recent performances of them touring... As far as specific tracks I would love to see them performing Wicked Garden, Army Ants, Unglued - or even Plush and Creep would be fine. Thanks for your help!

I miss 90's alternative/grunge!

Anyone remember how if you let the 2nd album (Purple) continue playing after the last track that hidden track ('12 Graceous Melodies') would come on and start playing with Scott sounding like a lounge singer? That was an interesting surprise back in the day, haha.
