Axl's cousin, Shannon: Oh I didn't know they were cousins. I saw them in concert on separate occasions. I remember Hoon sang in Don't Cry. I know Weiland had trouble with heroin in the past, so this doesn't surprise me. It does sadden me, as I grew up listening to his music. RIP Scott Weiland, very sad news. I always loved his voice.  I had never heard the rumor Axl and Shannon were cousins so I googled and found this: Axl Rose and Shannon Hoon were not cousins, that is a rumor. They say he passed away peacefully in his sleep like he died of old age or something. I tend to think it's more than old age! I saw him on an interview during the summer and he didn't look too well. He wasn't making much sense and I thought he looked drugged up but apparently he had quit drugs. He just looked and sounded messed up. |
