In 2013 there were over 256,000,000 registered vehicles in the united states [link to www.statista.com] Now for the number of registered guns in 2013 there were over 300,000,000 [link to www.gunfaq.org] So that means there are more registered guns than registered vehicles but more DUI deaths than homicides by guns. Realistically vehicles are more a danger to the public than firearms. |

How many Africans and Mexicans do you have? If you remove them from the US stats, we're safer than Norway. |

(OP) User ID: 70410642 United States 12/02/2015 09:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I practice safe driving so that when I'm drunk, my good driving habits take over. People that have wrecks while drunk are just lousy drivers to begin with, once you get into the habit of running stop signs and speeding you are more likely to kill someone in a car accident. Quoting: BRIEF More people are killed through negligent driving than negligent gun ownership every year. Which is why I'm doing the comparison and damnit GLP, why can't I give Brief more than 1 green karma vote per week? smh |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70951413 United States 12/02/2015 09:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I would be willing to bet that more people are killed each year in car accidents (even excuding dui's) than gun related deaths. I also bet more people die from various medical deceases(heart attacks, diabetes, cancers) than by guns. More people die from diseases each year than by "Terror Attacks" I read somewhere that you have a better chance of winning the lottery 3 weeks in a row and getting hit by lightening than you do of even witnessing a terror event or of being killed in a terror event. Gun deaths are even lower(unless youre a ghetto-pottomis). they try to keep you scared to death of shit that will NEVER (in all reality) happen to you! Or even some one you know. AIDS kills more each year than guns. Medical Operations gone wrong kill more than guns. WHY DONT THE GO AFTER THE REAL CAUSES OF DEATH? Because the want to disarm you so they can kill without the chance of retribution for their evil deeds. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 70719919 United States 12/02/2015 10:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just had a thought, I wonder how many murders are done by vehicles, that would prove my point even further. If people really want to make it harder to get a gun then they also need to make harder to get a vehicle because more people are killed by vehicles than guns. I don't understand how this logic can fly over so many heads. Quoting: thadividedsky |
