Illinois police office Gliniewicz who spurred manhunt embezzled money, committed suicide; wife & son under criminal investigation

From the news stories, it's true. Officer Charles Joseph Gliniewicz was found to have, on 9/1/15, committed suicide after staging an elaborate officer-shooting event. He is now found to have embezzled thousands of $$s from the police department and for "laundering money."

It is really sad. A lot of people were physically put at risk, a lot of money was spent tracking non-existent fugitives, and a mass of people became emotionally involved.
