The most irritating game played on the consumer to date...
When buying clothing off the rack,as most of us do, why are the sizes never the same?
A 34 x 34 should be a 34 x 34 should be a 34 x 34.
An XL should be an XL should be an XL.
There should be numbers assigned to the size that manufacturers have to stick to.
I don't want to hear how this brand runs a little big/small.

Same thing with shoes. One size should be the same regardless of the brand.
I don't want to hear how this brand runs a little big/small.

Maybe I'm the only one who can't stand this but I just think if you're going to put a size on something it ought to mean something and should not have to be translated or deciphered.

I totally understand. That`s why it is impossible to order clothing online and shopping is dreaded. And no asshole, it is not a first world problem. No one wants their ass hanging out no matter what "world" you live in. OP understands that you are a fucking non-thinking idiot with too much time on your hands to try on clothes that are mislabled.

I suppose it has something to do with everything being made outside the U.S. today. Right now, I am wearing a shirt made in India, underwear made in China, and pants made in Taiwan. I'm thinking the sizes vary depending on which country and/or factory manufactured the item. I'm old enough to remember when the U.S. began importing more clothing from China. It was widely known at that time, that the clothing was smaller than American-made clothing. This was explained away partly on the idea that Chinese people were smaller than average Americans.

they need to specify CLEARLY if the product is Chinese.
But that will never happen.

Good thing the local tailor has big and tall section of designer quality clothes, or I'd be fucked.
But it costs a small fortune to buy nice clothes this way

Go to your local mall and peer in to the places selling imported cheap shit. How do they stay in business? They must be getting perks. The stores are always empty..

Me either. They make it way more difficult than it has to be.
I'm 6'2" 205.
Just when I think I know what size of something to buy...I'm wrong.
It's either too short or too long or too tight or too loose.
I just don't think you should have to try on a pair of jeans or a freakin' shirt.
A size should be a size.

That's too much to ask of the twilight zone! The twilight zone's purpose is to make you question reality!

Lol but srsly, the problem is the sizes are marketed towards ethnicity. And the globalists love Chinese product

xlarge (Asian) = medium (European)
