Would GLP support a reality show based on creating a public satellite orbiting the moon? | |

There is already a contest for the first sugar rocket to enter low earth orbit. I believe that electrostatic propulsion will be the answer. The craft will need to be very lightweight. During certain times of the year the ionosphere dips down to an altitude where a balloon will reach. New type of ion propulsion could work like an airborne seed. |

The solar sail appeared to function as planned. There are many open source Cubesats out there for others to use. The latest craze is the Thumbsat. One idea is to create thousands of micro satellites that use the solar winds. They will link together and form a wireless mesh to relay data back to earth. |

Sending humans will require tons of money even if someone develops a new type of propulsion system. Just think about how much equipment is needed to keep someone alive in space. A robotic mission to the Moon is certainly possible. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69105866 Your Going To "Launch" A.satalight. SuRe You Are. Do You Think We Went To The Moon? If You Answer Yes Then Your Retarded. End Of Story. umm ok.... wouldn't be GLP without the hate lol This is GLP. Most people here don't even believe satellites exist anymore, so why would they support funding something they think is a hoax to begin with? |
