What "straight middle America" doesn't know and doesn't want to know is that at least half of the biggest male 'leading man' types in Hollywood are gay men who live closeted lives. Sad that even in 2020 it is still necessary to preserve their careers - but for most, it is. Over half the guys who are now in their late 40's and into their mid-50's are battling HIV disease. There are a couple of big-name medical practices in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood that have 'ultra-private office suites' where they receive and care for their big celeb patients. They NEVER have more than 2 patients in their waiting rooms and usually just one, maybe. Their docs are all HIV/AIDS specialists and on staff at the best hospitals in town.

So far, if the guys who are infected have good medical care, and take their antivirals etc., as they should - have no problems and it's believed that they will probably live out a normal life span.
