Young, a federal judge in Boston who was appointed by President Ronald Reagan, said in an interview. “Ominously, business has a good chance of opting out of the legal system altogether and misbehaving without reproach.” Quoting: hIndsIght2020 More than a decade in the making, the move to block class actions was engineered by a Wall Street-led coalition of credit card companies and retailers, according to interviews with coalition members and court records. Class action lawsuits are a fucking scam and only in place to make money for the legal teams driving it. They get a high percentage of a cut for each person involved. So if there are 500,000 people involved, say it is a 25 million dollar settlement, that's only $50 per person, but hen they take as much as 50%, leaving the individuals with $25 each, where the law firm would make over 12 million dollars. There is ZERO benefit to individuals in a class action lawsuit. NEVER participate, because if you do, you waive your rights for your own lawsuit. |
