I'd never heard of this 188 day cycle idea, found this youtube that debunks the idea quite nicely.
Listen from 2:25 to 3:15, that's where the 188 day cycle idea loses credibility.
There may be more 'debunks' in the video, I don't know - I didn't watch beyond the demonstration that they're cherry picking their data.
