In details, a gendarmerie inspection unit at the airport foiled an attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of Captagon pills to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

Smugglers attempted to illegally transport aboard a private plane boarding five Saudis around 40 bags of Fenethylline (Captagon pills) weighing about 2 tons.

Prince Abdel Mohsen bin Al-Walled bin Abdelaziz was allegedly attempting to smuggle nearly 2 tons of Captagon out of Lebanon.

BEIRUT – Lebanese security forces have arrested a Saudi prince allegedly attempting to smuggle narcotics through Beirut’s Rafiq Hariri International Airport in the largest ever drug bust made at the facility.

Al-Jadeed television reported Monday morning that Prince Abdel Mohsen bin Al-Walled bin Abdelaziz was detained after a “number of packages and suitcases in his possession containing a large amount of narcotics were impounded as he was leaving Lebanon on a private plane.”

The report said that security forces had seized approximately 2 tons of Captagon pills which were distributed between 32 packages and eight suitcases.
