Noise and Jolt as Soon as I Doze Off

Happend to me before.

When you wake up, do you think , what the hell, my body was just airborne for a second?

I had this happen once and immediately asked the wife and she said my body had "bounced" in the bed......so something definitely happened, but could just be a mind trick about the floating in air.

Happens to me all the time. Once in a while I wake to the sound of someone screaming my name as I feel the jolt. I have no idea what this is all about, but it does scare me.

Do you take anti depressants?

its simple, you are consciously falling asleep, if you can withstand that feeling and fight the urge not to jolt or awaken then you are in for a very interesting evening. that is the first step in astral projection. the hardest part is resisting the urge to move, I've had this happen several times and a few of them after the feeling naturally resided and I opened my eyes I was floating near the ceiling of my room, but every time I have a small panic attack and end up projecting back to my body.

yes. this is a benign kind of thing that some people get.

lots of times its a bang or a boom.

and it happens just at the "twilight moment" just before you flicker-out and fall asleep.

a doctor told that it is a type of benign hallucination.

You should get hypnosis. That fire cracker going off just as you fall asleep is what led Whitley Strieber to get hypnosis and he found out he was being abducted by aliens.
