Is GLP and our way of sharing news doomed? Drudge -Supreme Court Justice says "it's over."
I stumbled across this today. I doesn't bode well for GLP, other news sites or social media.

Summary:

Copyright laws to be passed soon. Supreme Court Justice says they have the votes. Sharing news is over.

Old and greedy people who are terrified by their loss of control. Unfortunately, I think too many people believe Facebook is the ultimate purpose of the internet. Those are the ones TPTB want in their vicious cycle, and they don't care about 'weird' things like alternate news sources and investigative reporting or dissent and discussion.

Go ahead, share the tweet. Thumb up the photo. Make a silly selfie, it's for a good cause! No, you don't need to listen to those other people. That website will probably give your computer a virus. They're crazy people anyway. Don't worry, we have a camp for them, we're going to help them learn all the right facts about things. Oh by the way! New Big Brother tonight! Copyright trolls are rubbing their hands with glee over this new copyright law. They have sued people in the past for linking to news sites and most of the victims just caved in a paid the 2000 dollars or what ever they were demanding rather than pay more money to go to court and fight it. It will be like going after downloaders for pirating music and movies. The copyright troll business will be booming once the TPP is put into place. All the little blogs and forums out there are ripe for the picking. They go after the little guy who can ill afford a lawyer and they know it. The whole idea behind this is to put a chill on free speech and to make the internet into more like cable TV where you pay to access a certain number of limited sites and the rest are made inaccessible by the ISP who cannot afford the liability of you illegally looking at anything that might be copyrighted since ISPs are now held responsible for your activities online. The elite want to kill the free range interent and turn it into just another cable TV box where we only visit government and corporate appoved websites run by them.

Remember kim dotcom they tried to extradite him to the states even though he was not an American and none of his copyright crimes were committed on U.S. soil unless you consider some the servers he rented were located there so ipso defacto a U.S. crime. They also tried to extradite some British kid to the U.S. too even though he hadn't committed a crime in the U.S. The American government doens't care and most other governments are little lap dogs and toadies of the American government. They won't extradite you for a link but they will sic the copyright trolls on you to extorte money out of you. It is all about chilling free speech worldwide by making an example of a few people to get the rest to fall in line and shut up. The global elite want to shut down alternative media and dissent against the NWO just like they do in China or North Korea. The elite want to control the narrative and tell you what to think. You won't be allowed to get your news from anywhere else other than CIA controlled news sources and we all know based on the race baiting going on at CNN and NBC that is a very bad thing. You won't be able to escape their programming. They want to all coral us all into a controlled internet ghetto like government controlled Facebook or Twitter where they get to censor any speech they don't like.

Notice how certain things are banned on Facebook like any thing to do with the promotion of gun ownership by ordinary people becaues Facebook is a CIA project and the U.S. government is for confiscation of all guns under the U.N. mandate. Yet the CIA controlled Facebook will allow their pet ISIS recruit idiots off of facebook to go fight in Syria. They don't get banned but the pro American gun lobby does. If they can't censor you on Facebook they will use copyright laws to get you instead. It is becoming pretty damn obvious why the American government wants to use copyright laws as weapon to kill free speech they don't like.

Why would linking be illegal?

It's up to the site if they want to be a paid site.

Don't sites WANT as many people as possible to visit? Which is what Drudge brings them.

Makes no sense!

Not from that point of view but from the point of view of chilling free speech and shutting down the alternative media it makes perfect sense. CNN and NBC all those other corporate media enterprises are in bed with the Government. That is what is called Fascism. We have no free mainstream media anymore.
