Anonymous Coward User ID: 47207118 United States 10/04/2015 12:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To all the good GLP'ers near and far around the world....could you do just one thing for me for my 62nd birthday?!!?? Quoting: SKObserver Do or say one good thing to someone on this day. It could just be a smile, a touch of a hand, tell a joke and make someone smile, comfort a loved one who's sad, give your dog an extra treat, be a little more patient with someone you disagree with, buy a cup of coffee for someone down on their luck,...doesn't matter how insignificant you may think your gesture is...just do or say something that makes another feel better for a moment. If even just five or ten people do this, this will be the best birthday I've ever had because it will mean, to me, that there is still some goodness out there. Thank you for listening, folks. Warm wishes to all. Awe, what a wonderful birthday wish! How absolutely selfless and sweet! HAPPY BIRTHDAY my dear. May your birthday be filled with beauty, serenity and love!! |

That's all I'm saying and it doesn't make me anything other than just another homosapien living on a crumbling world with discouragement around almost every corner. I'd rather focus on the smallest scrap of hope in the humanity of whoever is willing to still care. It costs nothing and maybe somewhere down the road, someone smiled. Another day of senseless killings, frustration with governments, people that didn't need to die, anger that could have been averted if only people could just try to accept differences in others whether they be gay or straight, black or white, Christian or Moslem??! It's too bad that there are not more of us. We have a saying that we live by. "Everything good that you do comes back 2x and everything bad 10x". We have instilled this in our kids and they tell their friends, and their friends tell their parents.... |

Thank you!! |

And it's really hard to do that when you just open a newspaper and find out that yet another suicide bomber has taken out a couple of city blocks while the leader of their country shouts "Death" to whoever they don't agree with. I guess that's why a random act of kindness could go a long way. Maybe folks will catch on, maybe not... but its better than any other option. Last Edited by SK~Recluse on 10/04/2015 12:40 PM |
