India's second payment on what was a $6.5 billion dollars in oil debt to Iran will come due on the 12th of October 2015 $700,000million

Funny how they are using oil against the country who benefits the most from it.

Huh,that's pocket change. We pay 700 mil to the Krouts 3 times a year.

This money belongs to Iran anyway..

Their bank accounts were frozen when the sanctions were implemented years ago.

so what is the big deal here. they are getting their own money back.

For all the commotion on Iran being on the wrong side of this battle and all the arm waving in Washington, we do nothing with-in our power to stop them.

We have the ability to stop this all together. But we wont, they want Iran armed. The real issue with the sanctions is the lifting on weapons shipments in to the country. They are arming up and quick with the money handed to them.




Snip: A committee of Iran's conservative-dominated parliament gave its support on Sunday to Iran's nuclear agreement with world powers on condition there would be no foreign inspections of military sites and no curbs on developing its missile programme.


Snip2; Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Sept 3 he favoured a vote in parliament on the nuclear deal, but it will still go to him, as the country's highest authority with the ultimate say on all state policy, for approval.

Many see the chance of the leadership eventually rejecting the deal as small, since Tehran needs the removal of sanctions to revive its economy.

However, while the agreement is meant to last many years, there is a risk it could fall apart one day if Iran or its counterparties determine the terms have been breached.

For the record Iran's nominal GDP is only $400,000 billion a year. Making it 98-99th in the world out of 183 countries. or about $5,300 per person.

So the 150 billion dollar nuke deal is a lot of money for this country.

Debt is an illusion.

There is no real money being used in the world, which means that there can be no debt. Computer digits on a bank computer are not real money and paper is not real money.

Not all Indians are poor,

but in general terms India is a very poor country.

If it were not the populous would not have gross sanitation issues and other challenges that are typical in the developing world.

No but I do wonder how or if it will effect their economy.

They have 2.3 trillion DGP nominal, but so populated only $1,800 per capita.
