Don't panic. This is just 5 alpha reductase deficiency. We need dehydro-testosterone to become males in Utero. These kids can't make it so they don't turn into boys til they go through puberty.

This has been going on for years and is caused most often by the founder effect. Which is where too much inbreeding happens and inborn errors of metabolism get amplified in the population. This means we will have to have a significant number of breeding pairs when we colonize Mars.

That's what I was thinking when I read the article. How did the infants then children go to the bathroom? For this article to make ANY real sense, the girls in question would of had to have actual vaginas, vulva, clits, and the rest of the usual girly stuff down there. Then strangely enough the girls' crotches became boy crotches in a hurry.

So I'm left wondering "What... the... fuck?".

Nope. Undescended testes leave an empty scrotum that looks for all the world like labia majora. The urethral opening in girls is just directly under the clitoris instead of being at the end of the penis. It would take a close look to tell the difference. Children would never notice. Vaginas have nothing to do with "going to the bathroom."

For the people who have a problem with this, grow some balls.

I guess you can't read. CAH can be your classic hermaphroditism. Happens mostly in populations where genetic variety is lacking. Hence the Innuits and English.

I'm going to med school at Vanderbilt right now. I was looking a being an endocrinologist, but they mostly deal with obese people and diabetes. I think I might try to to go neonatal now.
