Richard Dawkins questions Ahmed Mohamed's 'motives' and sparks backlash In a tweet, the scientist linked to a YouTube video entitled Ahmed Mohammed [sic] Clock is a FRAUD, in which user Thomas Talbot alleges Mohamed’s clock “is in fact not an invention. The ‘clock’ is a commercial bedside alarm clock removed from its casing”. In his tweet, Dawkins said: “If this is true, what was his motive? Whether or not he wanted the police to arrest him, they shouldn’t have done so.” His next tweet said of the video: “This man seems to know what he’s talking about.” [ link to www.theguardian.com] All very true. What he invented was not a clock. That wasn't his intent in my opinion. His intent was to expose a problem he was experiencing. if this is what he is inventing and showing them. He certainly could not label a pile of wires he called another invention, it was just stuff, he likes to invent stuff. What pretty sad is he's being used by the left as a poster child for racism, when in reality most people know any kid who brought that to school would have encountered the same treatment. You and I both know this is horseshit. A muslim going to school in Texas is going to be singled out and persecuted. I grew up as a Sioux indian in southern classrooms and have seen my share of persecution. This kid simply outsmarted them all. I used a tape recorder hidden in a lunch box to prove I was being persecuted by a certain teacher. I managed to get her on tape abusing students, and to get the satisfaction of forcing her to apologize in front of my classmates. Not a big deal, really but I understand the concept. She tried to confiscate the recorder claiming I was disrupting the class. No one even knew about the recorder until it reached the end of the tape and the recorder made a clicking sound in my lunch box.
