Duane Dog Chapman and Mexican Tourism
I have a suggestion which may help to persuade Mexico to drop their pursuit of Duane, Tim, and Leland. The best way to change minds is to hit someone’s pocket book. We have to make it far more expensive for Mexico to extradite these American heroes then it would cost to drop the case. My suggestion is for the tens of thousands of the Dog’s supporters to pledge to not vacation in Mexico and to let the Mexican authorities know about that pledge.

The following is the contact information for the Mexican Tourism Board here in the U.S. Also below is the text I called, faxed, and sent in a letter to the Board. Please take the time to write your own version of this and send it to the Mexican authorities. Please tell your friends to do the same via email, Blog, and chat rooms.

Viva the revolution! Power to the Dog! Geev’um!

Dear Sirs,

I’d like to express my outrage over the present legal situation of Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman, Tim Chapman, and Leland Chapman and ask that you do all you can to resolve this situation and NOT have any of these fine men sent back to Mexico for one minute of jail time.

These men are heroes pure and simple, they went to Mexico and found a convicted multiple rapist and torturer living Scot free in Mexico. When they found Andrew Luster he was looking for his next victim. This was an American criminal apprehended by Americans who thereby saved Mexican women from being raped by this animal. They are heroes. They were not even paid for their efforts.

Mexico could not find, apprehend and return to justice a convicted American criminal. I suggest we return the favor by NOT returning an American hero to your corrupt system.

As I understand it, what these men are being charged with is a minor crime in Mexico. But if you send these famous bounty hunters to a Mexican jail – even for a day – they could very well be killed. This is punishment far beyond any reasonable amount for their offense: apprehending a convicted U.S. multiple rapist and torturer and protecting Mexican women from being raped.

I have traveled on vacation to Mexico over a dozen times. I pledge NOT to visit Mexico while these men are threatened by this action. Should they actually be returned to Mexico, I will NEVER return to Mexico myself. I plan to tell all my family and friends to do the same. This action will cost Mexico money and that is exactly what I want and what you deserve.

Please do all you can to protect these fine men and drop the case.

Sincerely,

GLP
