Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

Re: Something in My Backyard Tonight!
I pulled into my driveway after dark tonight, and my headlights landed on two eyes shining at a height too tall for a dog. It stood there motionless and just stared. I was able to snap a few pics with my iPhone, but I was terrified. My son refused to get out of the car until the garage was shut! He's a teen!

I lightened up the pic a little on my phone. Please tell me I'm not seeing what I think I'm seeing!wtf

It's creepy but probably just an animal. I wouldn't assume the worst. If it was nasty, it would have come out at you. It's probably harmless. I'd be careful around there in the day time until you figure out what it is. No bears around you, right?

Florida has a small, but decent sized population of bear.

The eyes themselves do look like raccoon eyes.

Is there anything around where it was a raccoon could have climbed or stood on?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 65382363

My first thought was a hungry raccoon standing on hind legs.

Be careful out there in the day time as it probably is an animal and you don't know what it is, esp if it's a bear or panther. You might show the pic to any animal control officers in your area and see what they think. They might want to take care of any predators in a human area.

Where do you live? Geographic location could help narrow down what animals are native to the area. I'd say it's probably a deer, maybe a cougar, or maybe an owl perched in a tree.

Tall dog?

Wolf?

Cat of some kind, like a wild cat?

Maybe a neighbor has a wild animal pet that got loose.

Too tall for a croc or alligator, unless it was on its hind legs.

Lol. I had two Jehovah witnesses come to my door last week and my 2 dogs wouldn't stop barking, lol. Luckily, the annoyants left right away with all the barking. Great job, girls!!!
