Who are the protesters? When Hezbollah is more powerful than the state military and police, probably not a wise move to start shooting people...

If I were these young dweebs I would be praying their government stays together. Breaking the status quo in Lebanon will only give more power to Hezbollah and then in turn Sunni extremists pledging allegiance to ISIS.

Apparently these are protests about garbage... that is what I have read anyhow... so I guess they want their government dismantled due to environmental policy? With Syria next door, 2 million refugees flooding in over the border, and a divided populace constantly at war with each other, I would say they have bigger fish to fry.

Mahmoud Abbas resigned just prior to the upcoming elections, it was just announced a few minutes ago. I don't know if this has anything to do with some of the issues that are going on there. Two different areas but a lot of influence.
