I can't confirm it because I don't know the building or area very well

My head is starting to hurt and I'm getting a little bit pissed off - SO many different stories now. Even reports of gunfire heard in a part of Cairo...I don't know are there people that just enjoy to spread stuff over Twitter to cause confusion? I wish there was an official statement already. But this is typical unfortunately

One security official said he believed it was a car bomb.

it took a long time to get past the "it was a gas station" reporting on the explosions in China.

things are actually moving along.

A security officer said on tv it was 3 bombs near a building that's National Security and courthouse, possible car bombs. I guess that's why it sounded longer, like rumbling because it was more than 1 explosion.

They are fighting over the control of the tunnels under buscegi.

Just to clarify, this is north of Cairo, outside and actually doesn't belong to Cairo Governorate but to Qualubaya...many are confusing it with Shobra I think. I was wondering how come there's a State Security Building there.

Again report from security sources that it was a car filled with explosives. Buildings nearby were also damaged. The whole neighborhood there is out in the street. Picture on Twitter appearing but I can't link to here for some reason. Follow #Cairo on Twitter

Health Department Official said 6 wounded went to Emergency Room

At least it happened at an hour when a minimal number of people will be up and about.

Yes, I'm glad there were only 6 injured so far, lets hope it stays that way. I feel so upset for the people nearby, they said some buildings in the neighborhood were damaged

Security checkpoints set up in several areas (I don't know why some idiots post where exactly) to catch the one's responsible.

And THAT is why I don't go with my car to find out where it was, I don't need to be caught in check points and traffic jams or risk being interrogated - I have no good reason to be on the scene except for reporting for you guys on GLP - and I doubt the police would recognize the importance of it
