McDonalds is adding kiosks to "speed the process" - ie, reduce costs and process more customers through their lines.
They say its nothing ~ only 7,000 of them - but that's just the first phase - the pilot program to confirm their desire to reduce costs, and replace humans -

Judge warned us - we're there. and you cant afford to eat there either - So much for the "service industry jobs" they promised when engineering, programming, manufacturing left the country.
