it is important to take note of this prophecy and try to interprate it corectly. The notion of pope here may not refer to the pope that is in vatican for the sensible and logical people know that the pope in vatican is not a true leader of true Christian religion.
It leads me to believe that the reference to pope in this prophecy is the reference to the true man of God who may be what we call (the coming Jesus in religious terms). He may be a just man from the Western world, A leader who will rise to show the way. This prophecy may be refering to this man as the true pope rather than the one in vatican.
