You are preaching to the choir, lady. Most of these guys are paid by one side or the other. As a scientist, they screw up my reputation by not behaving like scientists. There are a lot of data out there, and you can draw all kinds of conclusions. For instance, this is the first full year that global CO2 concentrations will remain above 400ppm all year since the dinosaurs, practically. Does that mean it is due to us, not really. It is an effect. The cause remains to be proven. There are suspects because we know where CO2 comes from, I will say. But, like I said earlier, even if it was us and we stopped burning all hydrocarbons tomorrow, a chain of events have been set in motion that cannot be stopped... So it doesn't matter.

The unadjusted satellite data actualky shows us going down slightly in temperature as a planet. There is no crisis!!!

By whose measurements? One thing I have learned about scientific research is that it is always funded by people with an agenda who have a powerful influence on the researchers conclusions. In other words they pay for a fabricated confirmation of whatever pet theory they have that backs up their agenda and because these "scientists" have a monetary interest in satisfying them, they cook the fucking books.

There are tens of trillions of dollars to be made on this junk science.

I actually believe the oceans and atmosphere have warmed measurably and it is effecting the weather with an increase of water vapor and energy into the system. What I do not believe is that humans have had any measurable effect on these changes, and they would be occuring if we did not even exist.

Agreed...more than 30 positive feedback loops, and most cannot be reversed...@ least not currently by man. Climate chaos has begun. How about those massive heat waves in India and Iran already this year? I mean 165F heat index is not livable. Might be able to buy a little time if you're 'in the money'. Maybe the gov shows mercy and places you in a D.U.M.B.? Outlook not so good.

You should probably start by reading a few books, studying lots of data, and eventually concluding that man-made climate change and "global warming" are scare tactics and propaganda tools used to limit real productive thought and action.

IF the climate is changing in a way that will result in mass extinctions (including humans), there is NOTHING that you or anyone else can do about it.

Water vapor is about 500 times as effective as a greenhouse gas than CO2. The degree to which CO2 effects the overall climate compared to water vapor and methane for instance is practically impossible to measure. This whole story was concocted as a way to blame humans because there is money in it and sacrifices to be made, not by people like Big Al , but people like you and I.

Increases in CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere HAVE ALWAYS accompanied warming trends millions, no billions of years before humans even existed much less burnt fossil fuels for energy, and the cause and effect is reversed. That is to say increases in CO2 are caused by warming trends, not the other way around and I can prove it scientifically using data which is already compiled.

Global warming is a serious issue

Government, industry, and the public's response to climate change has been largely based on political agendas. There are many scientists who are driven more by political agenda's than by science.

However, the changing climate itself has no political agenda. There are MANY scientists studying climate change with NO political agenda.

The majority of people are not competent to determine whether any particular piece of climate research is driven by a political agenda, religious/scientific dogma, or whether it's good science.

This doesn't stop many people from forming opinions about the issue, largely based on their own political agendas, or religious/scientific belief systems. It doesn't stop them from listening to pundits who comment on the climate change debate who are also largely driven by agenda or dogma.

Liberals have been using the climate change debate to promote their agenda's just as conservatives have. Just as there are corporations wishing to protect their revenue stream by resisting regulations, there are corporations wishing to create new revenue streams through regulation.

None of that alters the fact that there are scientists and researchers doing their best to rigorously study the issue, who AREN'T agenda driven, who AREN'T religiously/scientifically dogmatic.

So, Fire Watch, how does one determine which camp a particular person or study belongs to, political/dogmatic or honest/scientific?
