My dad stayed at a hotel w Russians in TX and brought home so many neat things they gave him. Plus they took care of him when they drank him under the table. And protected him fr a group of nondesirables who came to rob him. I still speak highly of them and only wished I knew them to thank them. Last Edited by CountryWise on 08/02/2015 03:12 PM |

Quoting: CountryWise Well, in general Russians don't see any difference between different states of US. Most of us has never encountered any US citizens - let alone from different states. Just like most of Americans can't differentiate between people from Moscow, St. Petersburg and, let's say, Tomsk or Vladivostok. Those who can claim some knowledge about US tend to have more sympathy towards South with its more traditional standing. As a rule we tend to differentiate between government and people most of the time. Here's Dugin's insight on Russian disposition towards US and Americans: [link to klou.tt] He's not quite mainstream, but in this particular case he's right. I don't like firearms in general, but aren't they of different generations and different purpose? SKS is older and clearly less efficient, so if my life depended on it, I'd chose AK. But I won't use either of them if I can help it. In general Russian tend to not be very interested in firearms and other such things. We have rather strict arms control. Sometimes ridiculously so. Or is he doing things to make himself look good so he can take over the USA? Does he do evil things in secret? I ask because I know some ex-pat Russians in American and when I asked them what they thought of Putin, you could see the very real fear in their eyes. They didn't say much - but obviously think he is very bad. |

Russia is quite more homogeneous than US. While some regions have clear (if minor) differences in how they speak, we have uniform educational and juridical system across the country. That's why I only mentioned my educational history and not the place I live in. Well, let's see... First of all, I have Russian passport (although, my first document - birth certificate - was Soviet). I live in Russia, very close to the capital. My parents are both of Russian origin - both culturally and ethnically. Grandparents too - part of them from Kostroma, part from Volga. Well, and finally, my native language is Russian and I received Russian education. Is it Russian enough? "When every one is dead the Great Game is finished. Their food supply has not been damaged so much by the corporations and Medical Mafia. However, I am sad to say that if you look into the eyes of a lot of Russian women, you will see a cold heart and anger. At least, I can say that for Russians I've met in USA and Australia. (And if you look deep into the eyes of a lot of Americans, you will see that nobody is home - again - because of birth trauma, vaccines, toxic foods, smart phones etc.) |
