They are seeing A LOT of information. You have go through 13 options, yes 13 and disable what you don't want. Easy to do, but most are turned on by default.

BUT, not too bad. The part about files is only if you use cloud storage like OneDrive, gDrive, etc. If you are using those, then you know you are giving up your privacy.

Even if you disable it, do you really think it's going to be disabled..? Just like all the devices going from manual wi if switches that you can turn off to ones that can be controlled remotely. If they want to turn the wifi on in your device then can now because the switch is not manual. Do you get it?

I deleted one drive and turned off all the privacy settings. I'm using a VPN. Good luck with that.

Well damn! I'll NEVER install Windows 10 now. The way ISPs hunt for ANY and all piracy from what I understand is entirely based on the flimisiest of evidence... your IP address. Since the Internet Apocalypse has happened already which was 32 bit/IPv4 addresses completely ran out earlier this year, IP addresses most likely have to be renewed at a much faster rate. Since someone else had YOUR IP address before you and they did anything illegal which is virtually anything nowadays since the very nature of the Internet is completely outlawed and illegal which happens to be file sharing. Going to ANY website on the Internet is illegal because the web server MUST absolutely share it's files with your computer so you can access that website. Anyways, since someone had your IP address before, and verse visa, if that someone had done anything illegal YOU'LL be the one to suffer ALL legal and law breaking consequences when you're caught. Ever wonder why so many innocent people would often be caught by the Music Industry for legally and playing music over the Internet for the last decade or so now? It's all IP address based hunting. This is how the Music Industry is staying alive still.

So since Microsoft wants to know if you have ANY illegal files on your computer with Windows 10, you can't even have porn on your computer since that's largely illegal nowadays. Create your own content? Off to jail with you!! Microsoft will be able to claim you stole something from them and off to prison for the rest of your life you go. Something tells me that Windows 10's EULA and it's hidden rules are something akin to Blizzard's EULA for Starcraft: Wings of Liberty and Starcraft: Heart of the Swarm. For the Starcraft 2 games any maps and mods you make are automatically property of Blizzard. That's why I stopped making my Starcraft 2 maps several years back, and I used to make some of the best Starcraft 2 maps on the Internet at the time. I got sick and tired of never getting my due credit, and anything I do with the game is automatically stolen from me one way or another through the all-powerful nearly unknown language called Legalese.

Since Microsoft will be able to upload literally any files they want to your computer with Windows 10 you're just plain SOL on all levels. From the sound of things with Windows 10 it requires a broadband Internet connection just to get the most from the OS. Windows 7 doesn't require the Internet to be truly useful. Windows 8 requires an Internet connection to be truly useful as well. Western Civilization will be totally SOL when Microsoft goes bankrupt. No more Microsoft, no more Windows operating systems, no more Windows operating systems, no more support for said Windows OSes... and you got yourself a true computer Apocalypse right there. Windows is the core of the PC Gaming Industry. Sure Linux is getting up there, but Linux is still light years away from being as user friendly as Windows as far as I know.

IF you are stupid enough to still be using M$ Windows, you deserve to be spied on.

Well to be fair Linux Ubuntu has been exploding in popularity world wide in recent years as far as I know. The last edition which is like 8.x, I tried out was extremely user unfriendly. I couldn't figure out how to open many windows, install drivers, or do much else with it. I had been told and shown that the graphical prowess of Ubuntu was light years ahead of Windows at the time. So I tried it, and couldn't get anything to work beyond booting into Linux Ubuntu. So I pretty much deleted that partition and gave it back to my Windows installation through a partition manager a little while later. I seriously hope Ubuntu has become much more user friendly since then. I don't like to spend five or more minutes trying to figure out how to do the most basic of functions in an OS. Especially when I don't do a whole lot of advanced stuff till I need to. When the basics are incredibly difficult to do, the advanced stuff is virtually impossible to do.

Or remain a slave because you're to lazy and stupid to figure out how to make it work.

I bought a laptop a few months ago that came with 8.1. I fucking hated it. I downloaded "classic shell" and now I don't have to fuck around with those stupid ass live tile things. It's pretty much like win 7.

I'll switch when it can run all my software. I'm not holding my breath because people tend to like to get paid for their work .

It's none of their fucking business.

I still use XP. Probably till the end of time..
Otherwise I'm happy with some customized Xubuntu distros I've been finding..
