Egypt's President El-Sisi slammed Al-Azhar Grand Imam and clerics

This is not the first time he's said harsh words, he's criticized Al-Azhar and clerics several times, pissed off the MB supporters and otherwise extremist minority in the country. He lets them feel that they're being fought not only with weapons and by the Army but by taking away their twisted ideologies.

The relevant excerpt from Sisi’s speech follows (translation by Michele Antaki):

I am referring here to the religious clerics. We have to think hard about what we are facing—and I have, in fact, addressed this topic a couple of times before. It’s inconceivable that the thinking that we hold most sacred should cause the entire umma [Islamic world] to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing and destruction for the rest of the world. Impossible!

That thinking—I am not saying “religion” but “thinking”—that corpus of texts and ideas that we have sacralized over the centuries, to the point that departing from them has become almost impossible, is antagonizing the entire world. It’s antagonizing the entire world!

Is it possible that 1.6 billion people [Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants—that is 7 billion—so that they themselves may live? Impossible!

I am saying these words here at Al Azhar, before this assembly of scholars and ulema—Allah Almighty be witness to your truth on Judgment Day concerning that which I’m talking about now.

All this that I am telling you, you cannot feel it if you remain trapped within this mindset. You need to step outside of yourselves to be able to observe it and reflect on it from a more enlightened perspective.

I say and repeat again that we are in need of a religious revolution. You, imams, are responsible before Allah. The entire world, I say it again, the entire world is waiting for your next move… because this umma is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost—and it is being lost by our own hands.

I like that man.

So do the majority of Egyptians, don't let MSM tell you anything different, because he sure is pissing off the right people right now.

For centuries Egypts head of state did not see eye to eye with the religeous clerics so theres nothing new. It has come to the point that I dont know who is right.

Obviously not those that preach extremism, outdated ideologies and go on committing Terrorist acts in the name of Islam/Allah. About time someone fights that, and we need a big time reform in that department. We've been breeding little terrorists for centuries, it's enough. Time for some oversight

The late president Jamel Abd Nasier prisoned and murdered many of Egypts renowned religous clerics . What kind of terrorism exist at that time? Egypts presidents are known to be corrupt and abuse of power .The clerics are the only voice of the people who dare to speak up unlike clerics in most other muslim countries .

Yes, there was no "Terrorism" then in the form we know today, although False Flags did happen and he recognized the cancer that they were spreading.
