How much effort did you put into locating a spouse?
This thread is inspired by the number of female professional soccer players that are married to their teammates. Everyone is going around social media applauding the all female couples for being brave and what not.

Of course. No question. As a civil right of course I support their decision to marry whoever they want to marry.

As a practical, non-judgmental matter, how hard did they look for a spouse before deciding to marry a teammate?

The same can be said for Britney Spears and Ariana Grande getting involved with dancers from their show.

Maybe it's a symptom of being on the road. That the only people you spend time with are the people on the road with you. I guess that's tough.

However, I think you, each and every one of you, if not already married should put effort into locating your spouse. You can't just marry one of your two dozen coworkers. That's lazy. Plus, dating a coworker can go wrong in many ways.

To answer the question myself, I took finding my wife very seriously. It was my first priority goal for about 15 years.

My wife and I have been happily married for a long time and plan to continue to be happily married for a long time. It took effort though. None of my randomly associated schoolmates or coworkers would've have been a good match for me. Sometimes you have to work for it.

Actually, just side note, I work for everything. Marriage, children, home, finances, success; so far nothing has come easily. I'm not complaining. I'm just saying, yes, it takes work. You have to do the work to get the results.

I put heart and soul into finding and then being married 15 years.

Now I show a woman how to open the car door on the first date.

If she can't figure it out by the second date, I don't call back.bitchesbetrippin

stay zen,

stay in shape, work on yourself, and don't worry about it.

that doesn't mean they are going to knock on the door..

but learn that, and it applies to jobs too. they smell neediness, just go in there, be qualified of course, and act like a boss

it takes time to learn and lots of study and experience (at least on the job front)

and learn from the hard times too.

I graduated college living out of my car but I did it without any help

and no I didn't get a degree in underwater basketweaving men's studies either
