WHY IS GAS 4.71 A GALLON IN SOCAL? when there is a glut of oil?
and 53 a barrel? barrel = 42 gallons
4 x 42=162-53= 109 profit?
Quoting: GodIsreal A barrel of oil is only about 40% gasoline, and 20% diesel fuel. The remaining 40% is other heavier hydrocarbons such as bunker fuel oil, motor oil, and grease. There is also huge costs in transportation and refining. And keep in mind that nowadays gasoline is 10% ethanol, so that factors into the price as well.
