Anonymous Coward User ID: 69692192 United States 07/11/2015 07:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Beware of the misdirection and disinformation. This wasn't some random event. There's a design involved. The choosing of the target. The planning involved. The execution of the op. Components must be factored and weighed. Random or Accurate, someone gave the green light to let this action go down. Shit's going to spiral out unless something can be deciphered. Quoting: NobleSix On the flipside, there's the Joker Equation. That being this action was purely for the chaos and psychological factor. The creation of fear and anxiety for the sake of and nothing more. The rabid dog attack, if you will. Thought I'd toss that option out. It's unlikely though. Great post - always BEWARE. Sometimes it's hard not to go with the official story, since, as humans, I believe most of us are trusting individuals. However, once awake, there is no more trust. TRUST YOUR GUT! |

User ID: 69710263 United States 07/11/2015 08:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | HUGE explosion downtown #Cairo destroys the Italian center & part of the Italian Consulate. Sound was heard from a very long distance #Egypt Quoting: Bes Maat Why would they blow up the Italian consulate at 6am on a Saturday? In Ramadan? #Cairo My first thought too...I guess, it puts us back in the MSM for negative news and scares off Tourists. If you go search hashtag Cairo you will find many pictures, I don't know how to link them here, some work and some don't. maybe for some people. For me, you have my renewed prayers and we will certainly be discussing this in church tomorrow and today with our Egyptian friends. Do stay safe. Get some sleep. User ID: 69710263 United States 07/11/2015 09:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ministry of health spokesman: 1 dead, 5 injured in #italian consulate #explosion in #cairo' Quoting: Bes Maat It was at the consulate, not the Embassy. And it is not even operating Saturday, only Sunday-Wednesday. So the 6:30 am bombing on a Saturday in Ramadan where nobody is outside on the street yet is very suspicious. Still guessing they were heading somewhere else originally. And the 1 dead must be the Terrorist driving the bomb around. They were not heading anywhere else. They positioned and struck where they wanted. Your point about the opening times is also well taken. They did exactly what they wanted and are provoking the exact reactions they want. How do you know the 1 dead isn't a cadaver? what agenda are you insinuating, bro? Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

(OP) User ID: 69734106 Egypt 07/11/2015 10:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thank you all for your very supporting comments. I'm fine, I was out til now and all is normal as usual. The bombing was thankfully at a time where there's nobody out yet, so still just 1 dead and that has to be driver of the car with the bomb and 10 injuries, 3 of them police. The windows of the Cairo Museum were also shattered, but not other damage. The building of the Italian CONSULATE, NOT EMBASSY (as someone here wrote, there's a difference), is damaged on the outside and the entrance. Italians said no casualties on their side and they're not intimidated by this attack. Lots of rumors of course, nobody claimed the attack yet, I'm not going to report the rumors, I will see if there's a official statement of some sort in the news in a while and post again. Here's some links with news stories for now. [link to english.ahram.org.eg] The explosion badly damaged the consulate, known to be closed Fridays and Saturdays, at around 6:25am CMT. The area is usually busier during working days as the timing of the explosion may have limited the number of casualties. The consulate's entrance on Al-Galaa Street as well as its facade were destroyed. A water pipe on Al-Galaa and 26th of July streets was also damaged, causing water to flow. Neighbouring buildings have also suffered some damage, according to residents. Windows of buildings located a few hundred meters away from the location of the explosion have also been reportedly shattered including that of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square and the Press Syndicate in downtown's Abdel-Khaleq Tharwat. Preliminary investigations show that the explosive-laden vehicle parked outside the Italian Consulate before going off. According to health ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar, ten people have been injured. Sixth of October Bridge, which crosses over the consulate, was briefly sealed off in both directions. Al-Galaa Street, where the explosion occurred, was also closed. People still haven't learned to look past the MSM hype during any major event and instead inform themselves. He said that the broken windows would be removed and replaced today. I was hoping to visit Egypt to see all the ancient sites, ride down the nile, ride a camel and all in all be a pestiferous tourist. Also I wanted to visit and see the artisans make jewelry for all of Europe, and visit the Casbah. Quoting: whatthehellll? It doesn't look like i would be too welcome; and it hard to tell from here (US) who is setting off bombs in Cairo. I would suppose they have locked up the MB by now but there are so many agencies.... ....I just wanted to see Egypt, Cairo Museum, the temples, Alexandria.... it doesn't look to promising right now. Stay safe Egyptians. You have a higher chance to get killed on the way to the airport than in a plane crash and you could get struck by lighting before by accident being near a bomb or terrorist incident in Cairo. If you want to visit to see the Pyramids, Nile cruise and Red Sea Holiday, you are very safe, believe me. Go to places where tourists/foreigners/expat have online forums or on facebook and they will tell you from the ground how things are. Hope to welcome you soon :) People still haven't learned to look past the MSM hype during any major event and instead inform themselves. We're all pissed off at it and we all speculate what this Italian Consulate bombing was all about.
