And that's not true. Activist groups are getting bigger every year of the festival, traveling over there and seizing/buying up the dogs. Google it. The more exposed it is, the more activists rally. China's govt is feeling the pressure.

You may not be able to stop the occasional pooch from the pot, but the festival will get smaller and smaller. Like the dolphin cove slaughter. They didn't stop that completely but no companies are allowed to buy show dolphins from them anymore. Baby steps. That barbaric shit will end eventually.

Plus, the OP doesn't have to stop "fucking begging". This is an open forum on a private site and she can post what she wants, according to it's rules like you or I can.

The letter was well written and covered some aspects of this the government may see as good reason to stop the "festival". We will get nowhere just screaming it's wrong. These kind of letters may help.

Um they don't view dogs the way we do. They have a different culture.

I'd give a good dog recipe a try. The cool thing about cooked dog is that each breed has it's own flavor. So depending on your mood you can really mix it up. You can go for a sweeter flavor and do fried chihuahua skewers using a honey bbq sauce and breading.

Or for the more adventurous nothing beats aged german shepherd loin meat with sauerkraut.

Stay away from terriers and hounds though. Extremely chewy and quite gamey.

Eh, it's a slippery slope, I love dogs I have my own. But I like to eat pigs, and pigs are very intelligent and great animals. What happens when people ban my pigs and cows and chickens from being eaten, because they feel like it is against "human progress".

I like that you feel strongly about this OP and I also think its messed up. But I also think people should be able to make their own decisions about eating animals without the government stepping in.
