He's only running so that Rand Paul's and Scott Walker's votes get split in South Carolina, giving the state to Jeb Bush, going into the all-important Florida Primary.
For the same reason, Kasich will run, splitting Ohio for Jeb.

Even if it's not the intention, having so many Repub candidates you can't remember them all certainly has a mutual cockblocking effect. All I can figure is they get to keep their leftover campaign money (for themselves, personally) when they quit, so they're all in it trying to make some personal bank. I think that's the law anyway.
