Not really. For example, people like Lindsey Graham and John Bolton might get into the race to emphasize their expertise in foreign policy. They know they don't have any chances of winning. This forces other candidates like Marco Rubio to study up on foreign policy so he can better answer questions. Likewise, it forces candidates like Rand Paul to defend their foreign policy views, which are directly opposite of Graham and Bolton.

The different Republican candidates don't have the same platform at all. This is going to be a very exciting race.

Also, the more candidates we have, the more they have to distinguish themselves in one way or another. Thus, we get to learn more about them and make a more informed decision of who to vote for. This is in direct contrast of the Democrat method of relying on low-information voters.

Now, that doesn't mean we will get the best candidate out of the deal. We ended up with McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012. And conservatives stayed home, and the Republicans lost.

Do you really think the media is going to give us a decision making look at fucking 59 candidates? Maybe their 3 or 4 favorites, that will be it.

That is exactly what I want to know! The bait and switch worked brilliantly in 2008....why would ANYONE believe they won't do it again???

I believe they are furtively looking for their next Obama as we type. No way in hell do they want Bill and Hillary back in the White House. No way.

Lets be honest here, how many will do that? I listen to talk radio a lot, I learn shit there you never hear of in msm. Most don't and won't.

But I respectfully disagree that we are in the minority. The Dems don't listen to talk radio of course, but I believe a lot of conservatives do. It's why Romney did not win in 2012. Voters made up their own minds. I think talk radio had a lot to do with it. It did for me, anyway.

Republicans have a ridiculously deep bench. There is also Sarah Palin who has as much influence as any of them.

There is nothing but Hillary for the Dems and she makes Bernie Sanders look like the youthful alternative. Crazy White Squaw Elizabeth FAUXcohontas Liawatha Warren is AARP eligible and she's considered a young up and comer.

The system needs to be shocked. Cruz or Rand Paul currently fill that bill, and Walker at times (all dramatically different).

I know it won't happen, but Palin is one of the few who could really shake things up and is fairly incorruptable (libs smear her, but she fought corruption in her own party - how many politicians do you know who risked their careers doing that?). If TPTB got to her you would know we're fucked.
