Not to be outrageous, but I can remember as a young boy watching my younger sisters wash our male dogs in the bath tub while "picking fleas."

My point is not to draw too close an analogy between an animal and another child where body rights and inappropriate touching is an important social taboo, but rather to suggest violating the taboo is often more harmful than the actual deed, so its wise not to get hysterical because a kid is exploring without benefit of a fully rational mind checking his instincts.

The Duggars follow these teachings in regards to sexual abuse in the home.

We're not talking about children and children. We are talking about a post-puberty teenager and prepubescent children.
